Highlights from the Food Processing and Preservation Workshop

SCOPE Zimbabwe successfully organized the Food Processing and Preservation workshop held at Chitubu/Exaphozini Ecovillage from 10-16 May 2021. The 7-day workshop was attended by 23 focal persons from all the schools in different districts working with SCOPE.

The workshop saw participants being practically trained on various ecological aspects relating to food preservation and processing. Some of the key aspects covered were the construction of wood-saving stoves, solar dryers, preparation of ointments, preparation of tinctures, baking amongst others.
